7/17/02 07:28 AM Hey I'm gonna be on MTV... Hey everybody, Well it seems good things do sometimes happen to good people... last week I signed an agreement for my music to be used on MTVs Real World.. The producers of the show loved my music and had me signed up in 3 days after recieving cd copies of some 29 tunes. This will be good exposure for my music and It may open a few doors for me also.. you can sample my music on the Garageband page http://www.garageband.com/artist/TonyStoufer Have a great summer, mines looking up already Tony S |

The cat is out of the bag: We are playing the sidestage at Shoreline Amphitheater on November 14th in front of Aerosmith and Kid Rock. How cool is that? Get your tickets now, though any seat gets you front row with Miggs if you get there early enough. |

jukeboxxx- ah, it was splendid and boy did i learn some tricks from aerosmith. total class show. they come to work, people, and know what it takes to stay on top. kid rock was fun. actually, i enjoyed hearing their roadies doing soundcheck for 30 minutes before we could get our soundcheck in! fun, fun, fun and hopefully just the beginning! |
jukeboxxx- the best thing I can say is that it is NEVER what you think it will be, you know? There isn't the community you'd expect, a sense of passing the torch or giving a leg up to the fledgling band. They didn't watch us play (I'm sure they were busy) or anything. The show was awesome. The treatment was too. Sound, roadies, food, all that- very cool but we were definitely an afterthought and made our own way. There wasn't a merch table, the lights were minimal and we played early enough that most people missed the show (of course 20,000 wouldn't be there early to see Miggs!) but it was a blast and we've been told we'll be doing "a bunch of openings in 2003" there and at the other arenas, so that's got us pumped. The best thing was the sound, and any live performer can relate to this. There wasn't a bad spot on stage or in the audience so you weren't worried that somebody was getting the wrong sound to their ears or that you couldn't get comfortable. It was so good that you were inspired to be great. You didn't want to wreck the moment and we didn't. We totally clicked and were THERE. 45 minutes of fun. |
